چکیده
Araucaria (Araucaria angustifolia) is a tree species found in the Southeast and South of Brazil. It also known as Brazilian pine, presenting fruits high acceptance. However, its processing generates by-products that are little used. Thus, this work aimed to extract characterize cellulose obtained from pinion husk, well evaluate contents ash, lignin, ?-cellulose composition. The raw material extracted were characterized by X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF), diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) thermogravimetric (TGA). As for chemical composition detected, husks showed 1.6% 7% extractives, 34% lignin 55% cellulose, being 46% 9% hemicellulose. was observed XRD removal amorphous materials resulted gain crystallinity (from 19 33%). Proving efficiency extraction, characterization shown be purity, since main band cellulosic sample (TGA) disappeared. Finally, shows bark rich source making it possible obtain nanocrystals.

Cloning and expression of embryogenesis-regulating genes in Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Kuntze (Brazilian Pine)
Angiosperm and gymnosperm plants evolved from a common ancestor about 300 million years ago. Apart from morphological and structural differences in embryogenesis and seed origin, a set of embryogenesis-regulating genes and the molecular mechanisms involved in embryo development seem to have been conserved alike in both taxa. Few studies have covered molecular aspects of embryogenesis in the Bra...
متن کاملAntioxidant and Antigenotoxic Activities of the Brazilian Pine Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Kuntze.
Polyphenols are natural products with recognized potential in drug discovery and development. We aimed to evaluate the polyphenolic profile of Araucaria angustifolia bracts, and their ability to scavenge reactive species. The antioxidant and antigenotoxic effects of A. angustifolia polyphenols in MRC5 human lung fibroblast cells were also explored. The total polyphenol extract of A. angustifoli...
متن کاملBacterial Cellulose Production from Industrial Waste and by-Product Streams
The utilization of fermentation media derived from waste and by-product streams from biodiesel and confectionery industries could lead to highly efficient production of bacterial cellulose. Batch fermentations with the bacterial strain Komagataeibacter sucrofermentans DSM (Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen) 15973 were initially carried out in synthetic media using commercial sugars and crud...
متن کاملDeep Eutectic Solvents pretreatment of agro-industrial food waste
Background Waste biomass from agro-food industries are a reliable and readily exploitable resource. From the circular economy point of view, direct residues from these industries exploited for production of fuel/chemicals is a winning issue, because it reduces the environmental/cost impact and improves the eco-sustainability of productions. Results The present paper reports recent results of ...

(Leaf anatomy of Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze (Araucariaceae)). Immature and mature leaves of juvenile and adult plants of Araucaria angustifolia (Araucariaceae) were observed with the objective of updating the morphoanatomical data of the leaves of this species, which were restricted to basic descriptions in previous studies. The observations, made in optical allowed to establish an...
